“I think (the kids') biggest fear –and they did tell me this – is they didn’t want two dads, they didn’t want to lose their mom...I don’t want to break their hearts; I don’t want to ruin their lives, but I want to maintain a good relationship with them. I don’t want them to disown me. And the advice that my friends gave me was just keep being yourself and keep being who you are. If you have a good relationship with them before transition, there might me some rocky times, but you will have a good relationship with them after transition. And that’s what happened – we’re still adjusting. It’s not over yet. We’re still working trough things as they come up.”
